Police are investigating the deaths of two people whose bodies were found in a St Austell flat yesterday (Wednesday.)
A three-storey building on Tregonissey Road was the focus of intense police activity yesterday afternoon and early evening. It is understood the building is owned by Ocean Housing.
A police statement said: "Police were called to an address in the St Austell area where the bodies of two people have been located.
"At this time police are conducting thorough inquiries and examination of the scene to establish the causes of death which are currently deemed as unexplained.
"Anyone with information can call on 101 quoting ref 544 of today's date or Crimestoppers on 0800555111."
Neighbours reported seeing several police cars, vans and ambulances around a block of flats near Poltair School from around 4pm onwards.
