Devon and Cornwall police have been allocated £1,362,320 to help enforce Covid rules.
The allocation is part of a £60 million Home Office spend to help pay for the pandemic. Members of the public might not notice, as much of the cash will go in overtime payments, and making police stations Covid-secure.
From today (Monday) some officers will be deployed to ports to help ensure that travellers are complying with new border health measures.
Newquay Airport remains closed to commercial passengers until 26th March.
Much of the extra cash is going on making police stations Covid-secure
