As a bus user and someone who reads articles about public transport, I am also one of those Cornwall residents who believed the current government message was “only travel if essential”.
So I’ve not become aware of a change of advice.
Also, I think more would use our bus if the driver was wearing face protection – a visor would mean lip reading was still possible. As the person on the bus most likely to come into close range contact with different people (i.e. passengers) it is offputting that the driver is not giving this extra reassurance.
