Devon and Cornwall police raid the wrong address – 10 times in 3 years
22nd December 2016 By Peter Tremayne Follow @CornwallReports Devon and Cornwall police have paid out nearly £4,000 in recent years for raiding premises – but getting the wrong address.
Police raided a total of 10 “wrong address” premises in the past three years: on three occasions in 2013, five last year and twice this year.

Compensation payments were £695, £2,422 and £614 respectively. The statistics were provided in response to a Freedom of Information question. Details of the raids, reasons for the mistakes and the total number of raids carried out each year were not provided.
