Man dies after 4-vehicle crash on A39 at Playing Place, Truro

A local man in his 80s has died after a four-vehicle collision on the A39 between Kea Corner and Playing Place, Truro.  The accident happened on Friday morning.

The collision involved a red Vauxhall Corsa, a white Peugeot Motor Caravan, a blue Volkswagen Tiguan and a blue BMW 3 series.  The road was closed for several hours.

As a result, the driver of the red Vauxhall was taken to hospital where he later died. His next of kin has been informed.

Officers from the Roads Policing Team and Serious Collision Investigation Team attended the scene and are appealing for further witnesses to come forward.
