Ran out of fuel? So how does one explain reports that the only thing preventing the ship sinking in Falmouth harbour – where it’s been anchored for weeks – is residual fuel oil which has turned to tar in the tanks? Sources say there’s a big hole in the side but seawater can’t fill the tanks due to emulsified fuel oil floating above it. Needs investigating further. This is a disaster waiting to happen.
