The Green Party took over County Hall, Truro, today (Saturday) for its first Cornwall-wide conference.
Planning to field more candidates than ever before, the party’s national deputy leader, Amelia Womack, was the keynote speaker.
About 100 activists from all parts of Cornwall attended, taking the chance to learn more about the party’s policies and the best ways to persuade voters.
The Greens currently have only one Cornwall councillor. If they manage to get three elected, they will be able to form a group and exercise more influence on committees at County Hall.
Cornwall sees a full round of Cornwall Council, and town and parish council elections, on Thursday 4th May.
