  1. How long has this practice been going on for and is this just the tip of the iceberg? The auditors should dig deep this our money they are wasting.

  2. It would be interesting to know how the £24,000 additional cost by “arms-length” Cornwall Development Company was spent. I presume that this “arms-length” Company is funded through Cornwall Council; if not, how is it funded? Currently, we only have a summary breakdown on the £46,000 of the total £70,000 spent.

  3. Why was the ‘estimate’ not queried before it was paid? Who is the responsible accounting body? It looks to me as though their is no competent leadership at Cornwall Council. If I put my expenses claim into my body, it is checked for validity first, queried if unusual or inappropriate and paid only when satisfactory. There is also an annual audit. No responsible business can act in the way Cornwall Council is acting and succeed. And this body might be controlling health provision in Cornwall! I sincerely hope not!
