The funeral of former Labour MP and Cornwall councillor Candy Atherton will be at Truro’s Penmount crematorium at 12 noon on Tuesday 21st November.
Ms Atherton, who had been the MP for Falmouth & Camborne from 1997-2005, and a Falmouth councillor since 2013, died of a stroke while attending a local government conference in Milton Keynes. She was 62.
Falmouth Town Council has opened a book of condolences. By-elections, for the Town Council and for Cornwall Council, will be held in due course.
