  1. As usual, some rich person imposing their will on locals! This is a village where people live, not a screen set for ‘actors’ and celebrities to ponce around in. It is a charming village in its own right and I am less likely to go there if it has the ‘Poldark’ brand, in the same way as Doc Martin had put me off Port Isaac. Winston Graham was a good Cornish author but everyone forgets he wrote the Poldark saga and it is only remembered for the soap opera they have turned it into.
