  1. I won’t make any comment that might at some point impinge upon any proceedings.

    THe reason that it’s necessary to state that Black people’s lives matter is that, for centuries, they *didn’t*. That’s why John Wesley denounced ‘the vile trade in human flesh’. This is why we still don’t belong to take sugar in tea, because we took our cue from that great man. This is why the musicians of Cornwall welcomed Joseph Emidy as one of our greatest composers. Now that we recognize that Black lives matter as well, we may truly say that *all* lives matter.
