  1. I have read much scientific research showing that indoor transmission is a real concern in rooms that don’t have adequate ventilation. Unfortunately that message has not got out to most of us. It’s not being shared widely by the media or the government. It’s tragic that we think we’re okay if we’re wearing masks, keeping distance and handwashing while sitting in stuffy rooms. The advice about being with someone for less than 15 minutes has also been lost.

  2. It’s a *variant*! Please stop writing headlines that belong to science fiction B movies. It is right to be concerned about the increasing infection rate. However, if this new variant is in some way more infectious and in terms of evidence that is still in the realms of ‘could be’ rather than ‘is’, it still should be blocked by the facemask, physical distancing and handwashing line of defence.
