  1. Almost unbelievable. Incompetence from top to bottom among Cornwall Council officers and the Cornwall Council Councillors pervades policy decisions and, to think, this lot are to spend over half a billion pounds of our borrowed money on supposedly profitable house building now with the addition cost of climate change modifications. By the way, how are our space centre at Newquay, our waste disposal centre at St Dennis and our sports centre in Truro progressing? Of course, more money will become available and efficiency increased once the number of Councillors is reduced – or will it be spent on increased Councillor allowances and Council officers “essential” away trips? This whole set up stinks. With hindsight, we should never have moved to a unitary authority which now has moss growing on its ivory towers.
