Millions of people around the world have taken part in protests against the inauguration of new United States President Donald Trump – including in Cornwall.
The protests were led by women’s groups, angry at Mr Trump’s misogynist views.
Portholland beach, St Austell, saw a demonstration and march yesterday afternoon (Saturday.) More than 100 gathered on the beach with brightly coloured placards and banners.
About 700 protest marches were held worldwide yesterday, including in Antarctica. Reports say around 2.5 million people, in total, took part – 500,000 of them in Washington.
