  1. Directors of companies have individual and collective responsibilities in matters pertaining to Health and Safety including HSWA s37. HSWA s8 and s36 may also apply. Section 80 of the Local Government Act 1972 with regard to the debarment of acting as directors whilst being existing members of a local authority may be an issue. Was the Company’s insurance company notified of the incident? As the person concerned appears to have been found alone after the incident, were the police informed?
