  1. I am aware that in Europe holiday homes have to be licensed (30 euros) and have certain requirements regarding insurance and health and safety. This enables the local aurthorities to collect the normal council tax and also if the houses are let, quarterly tax returns have tobe submitted and tax paid base on % of the income after costs.
    It works extreamly well.
