Armed police descended on St Blazey on Saturday afternoon (20th April), responding to reports that a knifeman was damaging a car and assaulting another man.

Police describe the incident as “disorder” and say it happened at Landreath Place.  Police say the knifeman was seen speeding away from the scene in a black Mercedes.  The vehicle was later stopped in Bugle, but the knifeman was not found.

“The victim in this case has minor injuries, however his vehicle is also damaged,” say police.  “Armed police conducted a number of address checks and continue to look for the offender.  The offender has not yet been named by the police for operational reasons and the enquiry continues.

Any witnesses or anyone with information concerning the whereabouts of the offender should call 101, quoting log 800 200419.”
