No doubt, somebody somewhere had to tick a box to justify a bit of extra funding, resulting in a complete farce!
It looks as though a mountain has been made out of a molehill. This farm has – I gather – a decent reputation. I gather they recruited some extra labourers to help speed pickings in breaks in the weather. Having a couple of hundred farm labourers marching in support of the bosses suggests someone over-reacted.
